	Welcome to the web site for Cub Scout Pack 83, we strive to instill strong character development, citizenship, and an active lifestyle through a variety of fun activities. Where We Meet Pack 83 is chartered by Rocky River Presbyterian Church where we meet on Thursday nights from 6:50PM until 8:00PM. What We Do Scouts complete rank requirements and elective activities during den meetings on Thursday evenings. Every other month we have Pack Night where all dens meet together and we share skits, show everyone projects the boys have made, and recognize their hard work! Following the program we serve refreshments. For several years the pack has sent care packages to troops and Marines serving in Iraq. This year we will continue this service project sending two boxes each month to one of our parents currently deployed to Iraq. The boys enjoy collecting items and making cards to share with our troops. This year we will celebrate Boy Scouts of America's 100th anniversary! We will correspond with Scout units around the world to learn about their programs and share what we do in Scouting. We are working with a Scout unit in Nairobi, Kenya, check out their website at uhuruscouts.clubspaces.com. We are also corresponding with the First Turton Scouts (www.1stturtoncubs.co.uk) in Bolton, England, Scouts in Newman, Australia, and a Cub Scout group in Malaysia. Our Pack Family Our pack functions as a family. Siblings of Cub Scouts are usually as involved in the Scouting program as their brothers! Within reason, brothers and sisters of pack scouts can camp, fish, play games, and explore right along with everyone else. To make this happen, we require that at least one parent attend all pack functions with their son. This allows you to share their experiences with them and provides an extra pair of hands to help with projects. It also helps leaders provide an organized program that everyone enjoys. If you are looking for a place to drop your kids off for a little well-deserved "me" time, Pack 83 is not the place for you! Every week our leaders work hard to provide an interesting program and we need your help to make it happen. Besides, you don't want to miss your son's first time walking on stilts or exploring a real fire truck! Want To Know More?
